Privacy policy

The privacy policy at Career & Life Direction is very simple: Any personal information which is gathered will be kept in confidence. This is to say, that your contact information will not be made available to other people or organizations without your consent.

There is one small exception. If you choose to register as a user at Career & Life Direction, part of your user name may be posted simply as a way of welcoming you to the site. Your full user name, however, will not be published.

In other words, if you were hoping to get some extra spam coming your way because of your association with Career & Life Direction…sorry, but you’re out of luck.

In the future, a well-established career-planning tool will be made available through a company called TypeFocus. When this takes place, those who purchase career planning user spaces and make use of this excellent resource will be able to do so with the knowledge that their personal information will not be disclosed to anyone. And those who are interested in the consulting or debriefing service that will be offered, as a way of gaining insight into the results of their TypeFocus assessments, will need to give their permission in order for a conversation to take place.

Purchasing the consulting service means that you are granting permission for your assements, etc. to be reviewed prior to the debriefing session.

In the end, of course, the value of this – and every other – privacy policy depends on whether or not you feel that you have reason to believe anything that has just been said.
